Going to University in Argentina

Higher Education

Argentina has one of the highest percentages of individuals completing university degrees and approximately one hundred university level institutions across the country. Like the primary and secondary systems, public universities are also free.

When deciding on a University it is important to keep financial needs in mind. Once you have figured out your budget, you can look into several areas to decide which type of education you would like to pursue and what kind of school you would like to attend. You can choose from thirty-eight national (public) universities, forty-one private universities, six state (public) institutes, twelve private institutes, one provincial university, one university for foreigners and one international university.

Entry requirements vary per university and program.
