Student Spouse visa

  • My boyfrd studies in Canberra at the moment (PostGraduation). We plan to marry in Dec. Am i eligibal to stay in Australia on his student visa? His visa does not state any dependents yet? Can he change the status of his student visa now to state spouse as well?

    How long will this whole process take since we plan to get married in Dec 2006?

    Hello everyone. Im Pascal. Im also planning to get to Australia with my girlfriend in September but i am compel to marry her in order to go their. Its the only way i can accompany my gf there as a dependent.

    Important: you are allowed to work only 4 hrs/day(full hrs during holidays) just like the one who is studying.

    I will advise u to go to an IDP center if you have one in ur country. They can give u some good advises concerning the process u should follow in order to get everything ready to go to Australia.
