You can reach Ambulance, Police and Fire Brigade under the same numbers from fixed line phones from all over Austria.
There are three numbers to remember: 122, 133 and 144. However, as most always have their mobile phones handy, you should memorize 112, which is the European mobile emergency number. Call it from any handset, any provider and even without simcard. It is free of charge.
