we lived in Dubai before coming here. There are plenty of Brits here and 2 British schools. British school Baharin and St Chris'. Though, they have all nationalities - my daughter only has 2 other Brits in her class. It's okay though. There is a thread about them

There are 2 main Brit Clubs, the Dilmun Club has a huge membership and have a lot of things going on, but you have to be quick 'signing' up for things. It's located in a big ExPat area called Saar. The British club is the other club, but from what I've been told, it's very 'old school' type of Club and most members are the typical 'Hate Everything Not British' stereo type.
Bahrain is more expensive for food and clothing too. I was shocked just how much more expensive it is. And if you imagine Dubai is a city that is manic, like New York, then Bahrain is like a Kendal in the Lake district.
